BECAUSE WE CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS
From the time each piece of merchandise arrives in our warehouse, it is
handled like it was our own. With proper handling we strive to have our
customer's delivery experience leave a good final impression. This
hleps bring them back time and time again. Products that are not picked
up by customers in our warehouse will be delivered by either our
delivery professionals in American Home Showplace trucks, or by other
common or contracted delivery services.
American
Home Showplace furniture delivery service started in 1991 with the goal
of satisfying our customers with in-home set up delivery. Since then,
our delivery service has grown from 2 standard straight trucks to 10
custom delivery trucks. Each truck is equipped to handle the smallest
of merchandise to the largest, because we feel each item is equally
important. With over 42 full time warehouse employees and with the
majority of our employees with over 5 years experience, we feel we have
come to understand the expectations of the consumer. Once merchandise
is received at American Home Showplace, one of our 4 full-time
receiving department employees takes a few moments to inspect for any
visible damage. Each item is then stocked in our rack system designed
for furniture, or transpaorted to one of our showrooms for display.
Once an item is scheduled to be staged for delivery, there may be over
10 different people inspect our merchandise. Our personnel will also
inspect your merchandise before they blanket protect the item and load
it on their delivery truck. We attempt to go the extra step to ensure
quality and to leave a positive lasting impression.
DELIVERY OF CASE GOODS AND UPHOLSTERY
(Pieces
of furniture, such as bookcases or chests of drawers that provide
interior storage space. Pieces of dining or bedroom furniture sold as
sets, and material that make a soft covering for a seat)
Our
delivery service will open and inspect your furniture the day before
your delivery. Your furniture will be loaded on our delivery trucks and
delivered to your home on the day of your schedulated delivery. Our
delivery service will place the furniture in the room of your choice
and assemble any items that need assembly. They will attach the mirror
to the dresser, assemble the bed, and level any items that may have
shifted during delivery. Due to insurance restrictions, our delivery
service is unable to hang mirrors directly on walls unless the wall
anchor is already installed
Examine hour new furniture before our delivery personnel leave to make sure it meets your expectations.
DELIVERY OF ELECTRONICS
American Home Showplace delivery personnel will place eletronic
equipment where you specify. Televisions will be set in place, plugged
in, and have the cable or antenna connected. The delivery team will
turn on the unit and make sure it is operating properly. Additional
installation may require a professional contractor and American Home
Showplace delivery personnel are not trained in such installation.
DELIVERY OF APPLIANCES
American Home Showplace delivery personnel will open and uncrate any
appliances. Our delivery personnel will place the appliances where you
specify. They will plyg in any electrical plyg into an existing outlet.
Delivery personnel will not attempt any built-in installations like
ranges, hoods or refrigerators. Matters such as these should be
installed by a professional contractor. |
